Trinity Health Honored with 'High Performer' Recognitions for Fundraising by Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP)

LIVONIA, MI – Trinity Health has been recognized by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) as both “High Performer: Overall” and “High Performer: Healthcare System” in AHP’s 2020 Report on Giving.
These honors demonstrate the success of Trinity Health’s commitment to excellence in fundraising efforts advancing patient treatment and expanding access to healthcare with unparalleled compassion. Trinity Health includes 92 hospitals and 109 continuing care residences across 22 states.
- Overall High Performers represent AHP's traditional criteria of the top 25% in net production returns across all respondents in the 2020 Report on Giving. In FY 2019, high performers raised more than $19 million in the U.S. and more than $12.9 million in Canada.
- High Performers in the Healthcare System category represent healthcare systems that reached the top 25% in net fundraising returns out of all participating healthcare systems, raising more than $37.8 million in the U.S.

The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) is an international professional organization dedicated exclusively to development professionals who encourage charity in North America's healthcare organizations. AHP's 4,500 members represent more than 2,200 healthcare facilities around the world. They embody all aspects of healthcare fundraising, from executive directors and chief development officers, to major gift officers, annual campaign managers, event coordinators and grant writers.
AHP’s Report on Giving is a publication produced for over 35 years that shares information from AHP’s membership on their revenue and expense activities for each fiscal year. In the 2020 Report on Giving (represents data from FY 2019), AHP had 154 respondents from the U.S. and 24 respondents from Canada. AHP’s High Performers recognition has been awarded since 2013 and is presented to organizations in the top 25%in net fundraising revenue from the AHP Report on Giving. Net fundraising revenue is calculated by subtracting an organization’s total fundraising expenses from their gross production revenue.
