The Saint Francis Administrative Fellowship is a one-year, project-based and operations-focused program designed to prepare early careerists for leadership roles through direct mentorship and practical experience. The Fellow will collaborate closely with executive leadership and contribute to high-impact initiatives that align with the hospital’s operational goals and strategic priorities. Reporting directly to the Saint Francis Executive Leadership Team, the Fellow will work alongside: Mike Ryan, VP Operations, Valerie Powell-Stafford, President, Syed Hussain, Chief Medical Officer, Dawn Cimmarusti LeRoy, Chief Nursing Officer, Michelle Morgan, Director HR, and Michael Rogers, Mission Leader.

The administrative fellowship is a one-year program designed to transition early careerists into management positions through mentoring and projects to support high priority initiatives for Trinity Health of New England. Throughout the year, the fellow will strengthen leadership skills through numerous value-adding projects while working with regional and hospital senior executives across the region. The fellow will be fully immersed within the organization to aid in our people-centered approach while also being able to explore their own areas of interest.
Illinois
Loyola Medicine – Greater Chicago Area

The Loyola Medicine Administrative Fellowship provides future healthcare leaders with dynamic management and leadership training across Trinity Health's only academic health system. Loyola Medicine encompasses Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (community hospital), MacNeal Hospital (community/teaching hospital), and a network of ambulatory care centers across Illinois. This fellowship is regional, providing the fellow with unique opportunities to participate in system-wide initiatives in both the academic and community hospital settings within the robust Chicago healthcare market.
Fellows have a direct reporting relationship with Loyola Medicine's Executive team members including Shawn Vincent, Regional CEO and Elizabeth Early, Loyola University Medical Center's President. Through these preceptors, the program promotes learning and application of practical skills in operations, finance, and front-line management to prepare fellows for rewarding leadership careers in healthcare. Fellows also get exposure to in-depth, high-level strategic planning and other system functions, including human resources, marketing, information technology, and revenue cycle. This one-year fellowship is rotation-based with the opportunity to lead both smaller and longitudinal projects.

The MercyOne Administrative Fellowship is a one-year learning experience designed to cultivate leaders in the field of healthcare through exposure to a wide range of operational, administrative, and strategic projects and activities identified by the fellow and their preceptor to align with the fellow’s personal and career interests. Throughout the fellowship, the fellow will develop a close working relationship with the MercyOne senior leadership team.
Mission Integration – MercyOne, Des Moines

The Mission Integration Fellowship is available to provide an experiential educational opportunity for someone who is interested in a mission leadership career with a large not-for-profit multi-dimensional health care system. The Mission Integration Fellow will be engaged at the corporate level and within a local hospital ministry. Trinity Health Mission Integration professionals lead and engage in the Mission Essential Services (see below) including leadership and Catholic identity, formation, ethics, spiritual care, and community health and well-being.
A master’s degree in health care mission leadership, theology, divinity, or the equivalent (e.g., religious studies, health care ethics, etc.) is required. Applicants must have effective communications skills with the ability to relate well to individual persons, to make public presentations, be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment, and have personal presence characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate.

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic – Silver Spring

Formed in January 2025, the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic region comprises Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital (Darby, Pa.), Nazareth Hospital (Philadelphia, Pa.), Saint Francis Hospital (Wilmington, Del.), St. Mary Medical Center (Langhorne, Pa.), Holy Cross Hospital (Silver Spring, Md.), Holy Cross Germantown Hospital (Germantown, Md.), and their associated home health and LIFE programs, aligned joint ventures, sub-corporations, programs and services. The Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic region empowers the six Trinity Health regional health ministries to be one unified system with multiple hospitals, continuing care services and support services, operating from a position of strength across the many diverse neighborhoods we serve. Our health ministries will serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence.

Supply Chain Management – Livonia

The Trinity Health Supply Chain Administration Fellowship is designed to offer tomorrow's healthcare leaders a rewarding practical and strategic growth experience. Fellows will rotate through all supply chain disciplines and engage in projects to gain a deep understanding of hospital, clinic, and corporate healthcare operations. Fellows will also engage in supplier trade relationship projects to gain insight into business strategies, risk assessments and global supply considerations.
Dameka Miller, SVP Supply Chain Management and Michael Martin, VP of Logistics, will serve as preceptors and coordinate involvement with all levels of administration providing opportunity to develop interpersonal leadership competencies and executive presence.
Trinity Health of Michigan - Southeast Michigan

Established in 1994, Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in Michigan delivering more than one million patient visits each year, practicing based on the guiding principle: our family caring for yours.
Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is based in Ann Arbor and employs more than 3,000 staff, including nearly 1,000 providers consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, care managers and midwives in more than 150 practice locations across Southeast Michigan.
The Administrative Fellowship will be project based to give the fellow a comprehensive experience of medical group leadership. Fellows will work with physician and administrative leaders across many departments including operations, quality, IT, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, business intelligence, HR, finance, and project management. The Administrative Fellow will join a dynamic and growing organization dedicated to excellent patient care.

The selected Trinity Health Medical Groups (THMG) Fellow will get exposure and hands-on learning experiences that cover the gamut of medical group executive leadership roles, including operations, strategy, finance, planning and development, quality, patient experience, and business intelligence. Trinity Health Medical Groups represent 5,720 FTE providers (physicians and APP’s) among 15 regional medical groups across the country.
The Administrative Fellowship will be project based to give the fellow a comprehensive experience of medical group leadership, with the projects focused on mission-critical issues that are of practical importance to our medical groups and patients. Fellows will work with physician and administrative leaders across operations, quality, strategic planning, business intelligence, finance, and clinical arenas. There are several project-focused areas that could serve as a focus area for the selected fellow, depending on the fellow’s interest, including:
- Strategic growth of Trinity Health Medical Groups
- Optimizing the financial performance of Trinity Health Medical Groups
- Improving hypertension control among our patients
- Optimizing revenue cycle performance among Trinity Health Medical Groups
- Establishing a medical group-focused peer review process for Trinity Health
- Improving online scheduling for Trinity Health Medical Group patients
- Improving patient access to Trinity Health Medical Group clinics
- Organization of Trinity Health Safety Net Clinics
- Improving provider efficiency within TogetherCare, Trinity Health’s Epic EMR instance
- Establishing a 24/7 virtual primary care platform
- Develop standardized workflows for core processes like referrals, prescription refills, etc.
John Caruso, VP Medical Group and Ambulatory Strategy will serve as the preceptor to the fellow. The fellow will collaborate with all Trinity Health Medical Group colleagues depending on the specific initiative(s) and/or projects assigned.
Trinity Information Services – Livonia

The Trinity Information Services (TIS) Administrative Fellowship offers postgraduates an exceptional opportunity to hone their skills and leadership potential within the intricate landscape of information technology at a national healthcare system. This position provides comprehensive exposure to Trinity Health's extensive operations, encompassing IT functions in both enterprise and regional settings, planning, finance, and strategy, through diverse project work, informational meetings, and shadowing experiences.
As a OneTIS Fellow, you will have the opportunity to engage in and lead projects that support the technological infrastructure and the entirety of Trinity Health across the continuum of care. The fellowship is designed to offer flexibility, allowing you to gain exposure to a wide range of system operations under the guidance of the Preceptor. This experience will enable you to delve into leadership and executive decision-making processes, business operations, strategic planning aligned with organizational goals, application implementation and optimization, process improvement, and project management.
Throughout the fellowship, you can expect to participate in various activities and experiences, including:
- Attending Information Technology Executive Leadership Team meetings.
- Engaging in collaborative discussions to develop OneTIS strategy through Business Management Meetings, OneTIS Town Hall Meetings, and IT Operations Lunch & Learn Meetings.
