LIVONIA, Mich. (November 4, 2025) - Trinity Health is pleased to welcome Mandi A. Murray, JD, MSS, BSN, into a new role as executive vice president and chief legal officer. In this role, Murray is responsible for all legal matters across the system and will be counsel to the Trinity Health Board of Directors. She succeeds Linda Ross who retired October 1, 2025.

Murray brings a unique combination of clinical and legal expertise to the role. A long-time Trinity Health leader with 37 years serving the Ministry, she began her career as a registered nurse before transitioning into employment law. Over the years, she advanced through key leadership roles at regional health ministries in Michigan, including general counsel and managing counsel for provider operations, insurance and risk management as well as the mission and ethics. Most recently, Murray served as Trinity Health’s managing counsel for health ministries located in Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Ohio.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Michigan State University, master’s degree in strategic studies from the United States Army War College, and Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit. Murray is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, the State Bar of Michigan, the Health Law and Employment Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, and the American Health Law Association
