Trinity Health marked the 160th anniversary of Juneteenth with a powerful, weeklong celebration that brought colleagues together from across the Ministry to honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of health equity.
The week included a virtual webinar exploring how resilience continues to shape advocacy efforts and guide our mission to serve all members of our communities. This year’s celebration introduced two new and engaging events: the Juneteenth Trivia Challenge, where colleagues tested their knowledge in a spirited Kahoot! competition, and the Juneteenth Unplugged Fireside Chat, offering space for open dialogue and reflection.
On the day of Juneteenth, colleagues came together for a meaningful walk in honor of freedom and resilience and explored a thoughtfully curated Juneteenth gallery. The day also featured inspiring messages from Trinity Health leaders, including Mike Slubowski, LaRonda Haller, Ed Hodge, and Tina Weatherwax-Grant, who shared reflections on the significance of the day and the importance of advancing equity in health care.
This milestone celebration served as a reminder of Trinity Health’s enduring commitment to justice, inclusion, and compassionate care for all.
