Michael A. Slubowski, Executive Vice President-MichiganMike Slubowski,
President, Hospital and Health Networks

Mike Slubowski is the operations executive for Trinity Health.  He provides executive leadership for Trinity Health’s Ministry Organizations (hospitals, ambulatory centers, and physician practices) in eight states, Trinity Continuing Care Services (senior services) and Trinity Home Health Services.  Combined annual operating revenues for Trinity Health are $6 billion.  He also provides executive leadership to Trinity Health’s Home Office departments for Clinical Operations Improvement, Patient Care Services, and Performance Leadership/Operations.

Previously, Slubowski provided executive leadership to Trinity Health's Ministry Organizations (MOs) in eastern and northern Michigan, Ohio and Maryland, and to Trinity Health Plans (Care Choices), Trinity Continuing Care Services and Trinity Home Health Services. He also was the lead executive for Trinity Health's purchasing/supply chain management initiatives.

Slubowski started his career in hospital management over 30 years ago. His first healthcare role was 10 years with Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, where he was Vice President of Ambulatory Satellites and Prepayment Programs. Subsequent roles included leadership positions at St. Joseph's-Macomb County, Michigan, Samaritan Health Services, Phoenix, Arizona, and Providence Hospital, Southfield, Mich., in 1990. At Providence, Mike was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and went on to become Chief Executive Officer. He joined Mercy Health Services, Farmington Hills, Mich., in 1997 as Executive Vice President.

Slubowski holds fellowships in both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He also serves in a variety of regional and national healthcare professional organizations, and is the current ACHE Regent for Eastern Michigan. Slubowski holds his bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in business administration from Wayne State University. He also completed advanced healthcare leadership training through an Advanced Leadership Institute conducted by the University of Michigan School of Business and sponsored by the National Center for Healthcare Leadership.
