Joy Gorzeman,
Senior Vice President, Patient Care and CNO

Joy provides leadership and clinical expertise, working with clinical leadership at the Ministry Organizations to develop and implement best practices in clinical processes. She has held this position since January 2005. She has been a leader in developing interdisciplinary professional governance models for decision-making and is developing patient care delivery models that utilize technology and other tools to transform the quality, safety, and outcomes of patient care.

Prior to joining Trinity Health, Gorzeman was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nurse Executive at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, California. Previously, she held increasingly responsible positions within the BayCare Health System and St. Anthony’s Health Care system in St. Petersburg, Florida and at Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Gorzeman received her nursing training at the St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in nursing from University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters in Business from San Diego State University. She is a member of several Professional Healthcare Organizations (ex. ACHE, AONE, MONE), has written several Nursing publications and has had several professional honors.
