Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Capital
Projects Management
Lou Fierens joined Trinity Health
in February of 2001 and currently serves as the Senior Vice
President for Supply Chain and Capital Projects Management.
In this role, Fierens is responsible for the development and
implementation of strategic plans in all areas of the healthcare
supply chain and coordinates management of major capital projects.
At Trinity Health, this amounts to managing a total annual
value of approximately $2 Billion USD.
Prior to joining Trinity Health, he had spent 15 years with
General Motors Corporation in assignments of increasing responsibility
in manufacturing, production control, logistics, strategic
planning, and worldwide purchasing. Most recently he served
as Director of GMSupplyPower.com,
General Motors global supply chain management portal. He currently
serves as Chairman of the Board of Consorta, Inc and serves
on the board of the Northern Michigan Supply Alliance.
In 2003, Fierens was recognized for his contributions to
Supply Chain Management by being recognized by Modern
Healthcare as an “Up and Comer” in its annual
issue recognizing future leaders in the healthcare field.
Fierens has a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management
from Michigan State University, and MBA in Operations Management
from the University of Michigan, and completed the Accelerated
Development Program (ADP) for International Managers at the
London Business School in London, England.
