Sister Catherine DeClercq, OP,
Vice President, Governance and Sponsorship

Sister Catherine works closely with members of the Trinity Health Board, including the chairperson, and serves as a resource to Member and Service Organizations. Sister Catherine staffs Catholic Health Ministries (CHM), the public juridic person that sponsors Trinity Health. Previously, as assistant to the president at Mercy Health Services, she was responsible for governance and working with the sponsor of Mercy Health Services, the Sisters of Mercy Regional Community of Detroit.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of Provena Health in Mokena, Illinois, and serves on the Sponsor Services Committee of the Catholic Health Association.

Sister Catherine is a member of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Adrian, MI. There she served as a member of the General Council for eight years before coming to Mercy Health Services.

Sister Catherine holds a bachelor's degree from Siena Heights College and a master's degree from the University of Michigan.
