Carol Tingwall Named Project Genesis Communications Manager
Novi, Mich. – Carol Tingwall has been named Senior Manager, Project Genesis
Communications, Trinity Health, Novi, Mich.
In her position, Tingwall oversees communications initiatives related to the
health system’s computerized clinical, revenue management and supply chain
management initiative known as Project Genesis. She provides change communications
planning and strategy, internal communications support, media relations, video
script writing and production, and copy writing for Web and print collateral.
“Carol is a vital part of the corporate communications management team,”
Steve Shivinsky, Vice President, Corporate Communications and Public Relations,
said. “She has demonstrated strong leadership abilities as Trinity Health
continues to bring its vision and strategic direction toward a fully integrated,
computerized clinical and revenue management and supply chain management to reality.”
Project Genesis is Trinity Health’s system-wide implementation includes
computerized physician order entry (CPOE); the immediate transmission of orders
to pharmacy, laboratory and radiology; computerized test results reporting; and
the accessibility of patient information at the point-of-care. Improving these
processes will help hospitals increase patient safety and enhance quality of care.
Tingwall has more than 25 years experience in corporate communications, public
relations and newspaper editing/reporting. She previously worked as a consultant
for Visteon, leading change management communications for a large-scale information
technology implementation. She also has served as a media relations consultant
for advertising agency J. Walter Thompson in Detroit, an editor and public relations
specialist at The University of Michigan, and a government relations specialist
for the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG). |
