Trinity Health Elects New Board Chair
Novi, Mich. – The Trinity Health Board of Directors elected William Kreykes,
former CEO of Lifespan health system, to a one-year term as chair, succeeding
James Hendricks, who had served as board chair since the Catholic health system’s
formation in 2000.
“Bill Kreykes understands and believes in Trinity Health’s mission
and values,” said Judith Pelham, President and CEO, Trinity Health. “We
know he will continue to help guide and direct the organization with the same
vision and commitment he has shown as a board member.”
As the founding CEO of Lifespan, a five-hospital system based in Providence,
R.I., Kreykes is skilled in health systems governance and management, health care
trends, finance and strategy. Upon retiring from Lifespan in 1998, Kreykes went
on to serve as member of the Holy Cross Health System board from 1998 to 2000.
He transitioned to Trinity Health’s board when Holy Cross Health System
and Mercy Health Services merged to form Trinity Health in May 2000.
The board is comprised of Kreykes, Pelham (ex-officio), Hendricks, Cheryln
Chin, Sister Yvonne Gellise, RSM, Patrick G. Hays, Sister Christa Hojlo, CSC,
Sister mary Kelly, RSM, Sister Kathleen Moroney, CSC, Linda Murray, MD, MPH, and
Jose Santillan, CFA. |
