Trinity Health Appoints Dr. Narendra Kini to Lead Clinical
and Physician Services
NOVI, Mich. – Trinity Health today announced the appointment
of M. Narendra Kini, MD, MSHA, as its Executive Vice President,
Clinical and Physician Services.
His responsibilities include clinical outcomes measurement
and care improvement, patient safety initiatives, clinical
information system adoption, clinical leadership development,
and clinical services program oversight.

new and emerging technologies, and professional development
opportunities,” Kini said. “I look forward to

Prior to joining Trinity Health, Kini was Director of the
GE Health Leadership Institute, where he was responsible for
the development of advanced leadership offerings using GE
operating mechanisms as a foundation. He also is a certified
“Green Belt” in Six Sigma methodology, and was
responsible for developing Six Sigma safety and quality initiatives
for health care customers. As General Manager of Enterprise
Marketing for GE Medical Systems Information Technologies,
he was responsible for enterprise clinical system marketing
and development.
Kini will play a key role in Trinity Health’s $200
million initiative to provide its member hospitals with state-of-the-art
clinical, revenue cycle and supply chain management information
systems.
“Dr. Kini has a deep understanding of cultural transformation
in hospitals and IT’s role in shaping the next generation
of health care,” said Ed Carlson, Chief Operating Officer,
Trinity Health. “With our major focus on IT, we are
confident that Dr. Kini will provide vision and energy to
this critical component of our future.”
A practicing physician for more than 12 years, Dr. Kini served
in the ER at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and served
as Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical
College of Wisconsin. He spent 11 years in management at Children’s
Hospital of Wisconsin, with responsibilities ranging from
Director, Utilization Review to Vice President, Clinical and
Support Services.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Lagos,
Nigeria, and completed his pediatrics residency at the Medical
College of Wisconsin. He earned a master’s degree in
health administration (MSHA) from the University of Alabama
in 1988. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric
emergency medicine, and he is a fellow of the American Academy
of Pediatrics. |
