Tim Eckels Named Vice President Over Public Policy

NOVI, Mich. –– Tim Eckels has joined the staff of Trinity Health as Vice President, Public Policy, at Trinity Health, Novi, Mich. In this new position, Eckels will develop and oversee the health system’s federal advocacy efforts to strengthen Trinity Health’s voice in the public policy arena.

Prior to joining Trinity Health, Eckels was Senior Vice President for Planning and Policy Development at the Catholic Health Association (CHA). He also served as the CHA’s Director of Public Policy for five years, where he developed legislative positions, conducted research, and organized lobbying efforts on Medicare, Medicaid, reimbursement issues, and health care reform.

Before CHA, Eckels was a consultant with the Lewin Group in Washington, D.C., where he provided direction on health policy and financing issues for hospital groups, federal agencies, and state governments.
