Trinity Health Names Chief Nursing Officer
NOVI, Mich. – Joy Gorzeman, RN, MSN, MBA, has been
named Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and
Chief Nursing Officer at Trinity Health, Novi, Mich.
Gorzeman has more than 30 years of health care experience,
having most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and
Chief Nurse Executive at Tri-City Medical Center, a 397-bed
acute care facility in Oceanside, Calif. There, she provided
leadership in the areas of strategic planning and implementation
of clinical and support services, integration of patient
care services, and enhancement of physician-medical center
relationships.
Previous to her work at Tri-City, she was Chief Operating
Officer of Bayfront – St. Anthony’s Health Care
in St. Petersburg, Fla. and Associate Vice President of Total
Quality Management at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton,
Fla.
She boasts more than a decade of staff nurse experience,
including stints in the NICU, OR and MedSurg areas at hospitals
in Iowa, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas. She holds a RN degree
from St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing, Sioux City, Iowa,
and BSN and MSN degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She received her MBA from San Diego State University in August
2004.
