Trinity Health Promotes Michael Slubowski to President of
Hospital and Health Networks
Novi, Michigan – Trinity Health announced today that
Michael Slubowski was promoted to President, Hospital and
Health Networks. In this new position, he will oversee operations
for all of Trinity Health’s 45 owned or managed member
facilities as well as clinical operations support.
“Mike is a gifted executive who blends management foresight
with spirituality and a deep commitment to our mission,”
said Joseph Swedish, President and CEO of Trinity Health.
“He is perfectly positioned to take on the role of overseeing
our constituent member organizations.”
Slubowski has served as Trinity Health’s Eastern Division
Executive Vice President since 1997, and has been with Trinity
Health since 1990. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive
Officer of Providence Hospital and Medical Center, Southfield,
Mich. from 1990 to 1997. His 29-year career has also included
administrative positions at Samaritan Physicians Center, Phoenix,
Ariz., St. Joseph’s Health Network, Mt. Clemens, Mich.,
and Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, American Motors Corp.
and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Slubowski is a Fellow of the ACHE and the American College
of Medical Practice Executives. He serves on the Council of
Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare
Executives. He is a board member at several Trinity Health-owned
or -managed organizations, and a member of the Catholic Health
Association’s Nominating Committee of the Medical Group
Management Association.
He earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Wayne
State University, Detroit.
