Trinity Health Names Kedrick Adkins, Jr. President of Integrated Services

Novi , Michigan – Trinity Health today announced that Kedrick D. Adkins, Jr. has been named President of Integrated Services, a key position on the executive management team with responsibilities over financial services, information services, supply chain and capital planning, managed care, and insurance and risk management.

Adkins had a distinguished and impressive 30-year tenure with Accenture where he was a Senior Partner, most recently serving as U.S. Country Managing Director and Chief Diversity Officer for this global consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. His first day with Trinity Health will be January 23, 2007.

Adkins is well known and highly respected within the health care community and is considered one of Accenture’s pioneers and experts . His experience includes strategy development, technology planning, systems design, installation and process reengineering for hospitals and health systems, physician-based organizations, national and international managed care companies, indemnity health insurers, numerous Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans and government health agencies. He has worked on projects to design, install and deploy a full suite of administrative, financial, patient care, clinical, ancillary and enterprise resource planning systems. He has been quoted or referenced as an industry expert in numerous business publications, including Business Week, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

“Kedrick’s arrival will fulfill a critically important position that we believe will enhance our senior management organization structure,” said Trinity Health President and CEO Joseph Swedish. “The expertise required to fulfill the complex responsibilities of this position demands a unique mix of talent and experience. It is pivotal to accomplishing many initiatives toward uniting hospitals across our enterprise in our healing ministry.”

Adkins earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and his MBA in accounting and finance from the University of Michigan. He also is a certified public accountant (CPA). He currently serves on the corporate advisory board of the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering and has served in national positions, such as Accenture’s representative to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
