October 19, 2011, Novi, Mich. --- Trinity Health announced today that it will consolidate two of its corporate headquarter locations to a single campus in Livonia, Mich. The national, Catholic healthcare system has leased a campus of two adjacent, four-story buildings — 340,000, square feet — at the Victor Corporate Center at 20255 and 20555 Victor Parkway, Livonia, Mich.
The move will affect about 1,400 current Trinity Health associates whose offices are presently situated in Novi and Farmington Hills, but Trinity Health will continue to maintain a presence in Novi, with about 160 information technology positions remaining.
“With the selection of this campus as our home, we are able to bring our corporate teams in closer proximity to one another, leverage the current real estate market and ensure both cost savings and stability, among other goals,” said Joseph R. Swedish, Trinity Health president and CEO. “I am very confident in our decision because it will stabilize costs and help us become more efficient at a crucial moment in health care history.”
It is anticipated that the financial benefits of the move will provide savings of approximately $10 million over the next several years. The new space — the former home of Quicken Loans, located east of I-275 between Seven and Eight Mile Roads — gives Trinity Health the opportunity to increase space efficiency and effectiveness. Renovations will result in space that is efficient, innovative and reflective of Trinity Health’s culture.
“This will be a beneficial change at a critical moment for us,” said Swedish. “It will help us maximize new opportunities for collaboration and make us more efficient, ultimately providing us with the opportunity to better steward our resources so that we can sustain our ministry and continue to fulfill our compassionate Mission.”
Trinity Health will move its employees in the fourth quarter of 2012.
